AC Milan vs Juventus 10/05/18

10 May 2018

Two biggest rivals in Italy, Juventus and Milan, are set to face each other in the Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico, both looking to lift the trophy for different reasons. The Old Lady will try to mitigate the painful Champions League elimination to Real Madrid by winning two domestic titles, while the Rossoneri must seek a win, as it’s their only chance to save a disastrous season. The Black and Whites have wrapped up their seventh consecutive Serie A title harder than expected, while Milan failed to capture the Champions League promotion despite enormous summer investments and grand expectations ahead of the start of the season, and this should be their most important match after the Europa League battle with Arsenal. Two sides have already played against each other two times in the league this season, with Juventus beating the Milanese giants both times, including a 3-1 victory at the Allianz Stadium last March. Gennaro Gattuso is eager to achieve his first win over the arch-rivals as a manager, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side have demonstrated they know how to handle big games.

Both sides have troubles with injured players, as Andrea Conti and Lucas Biglia won’t be available for Milan, while Mattia De Sciglio, Stefano Sturaro, Benedikt Höwedes, and Mario Mandzukic won’t make it for the Turinese heavyweights.
