Napoli vs AS Roma 29/10/18

29 October 2018

Napoli are about to host AS Roma at the Stadio San Paolo hoping to end a 3-game home winless run against the club from the Italian capital.

With a record of seven wins and two defeats, the Partenopei trail Juventus by four points, as they currently sit in the second place. However, the Blues are the only team in Serie A to clinch a maximum of 12 points at home after beating AC Milan, Fiorentina, Parma, and Sassuolo, keeping a clean sheet three times in the process. Moreover, with 18 goals scored so far, the Little Donkeys have the second-best attacking record in Italian top flight right behind the Bianconeri who bagged one more. A 78% of Napoli’s league matches ended with three or more goals, which makes their games the most efficient ones in Italy.

On the other hand, the Giallorossi have problems to maintain continuity since the start of the season, as they reside in the 7th place with 14 points after the opening nine fixtures. Last weekend’s shock defeat to SPAL at home has ended their 3-game winning streak in Serie A, and it was also the fifth time La Lupa conceded more than one goal this season. Meanwhile, Eusebio Di Francesco’s players won both road matches in which they’ve managed to keep a clean sheet, while they’ve lost the other two. Still, Roma scored twice in one away game just once this season, which places them in the rank with Frosinone, Empoli, Chievo Verona, Parma, and SPAL.
