After five consecutive Serie A victories, AC Milan have failed to win in three games in a row, losing to Juventus in the process, and they are hoping for a win against Napoli at San Siro to enhance their chances of wrapping up the Champions League promotion spot, as they are currently eight points behind fourth-placed Roma. The Light Blues have had an amazing season, but in the crucial point of the championship, they’ve struggled to keep a cool head failing to win three out of their last five games in the league, which enabled Juventus to make a four-point lead and edge closer to the title. The Rossoneri have two consecutive draws at home with Inter and Sassuolo, while Napoli haven’t lost a single away game this season in Serie A that makes them by far the most successful visiting team in Italy. Although Gennaro Gattuso did a great job since taking charge of the Milanese giants, another year without Champions League football will be a disaster for a club with such reputation, which is why the Red and Blacks have to be at their very best against Napoli.

Andrea Conti and Alessio Romagnoli will be on the stands due to injuries, while the skipper, Leonardo Bonucci, won’t be in the squad after picking up a fifth yellow card last weekend against Sassuolo. Faouzi Ghoulam, who sustained a severe injury two months ago, might return to action by the end of the month, while Mário Rui will be skipping the match because of suspension.
