Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid 19/11/2017
Atletico will welcome city rivals Real to their spanking new Wanda Metropolitano for the first time and can expect no house-warming gift.
Both teams are locked on 23 points – trailing leaders Barcelona by 8 points – with Real slightly above Atletico thanks to a better goal difference. Diego Simeone’s side, who face Roma in midweek for a crucial Champions League showdown, have drawn five of their 11 league matches this season.
Together with the front two of Barcelona and Valencia, they are the only three unbeaten sides in La Liga.
While Atletico are at full strength, Real have been left reeling from a cluster of injuries. Fullback Dani Carvajal is rated 50-50 for a start as he recovers from a heart condition, as is keeper Keylor Navas, who is ham-strung.
Isco should also feature despite being sent home during the international break with a knock. But the sickening news is that Gareth Bale will miss out again. The Welshman is enduring his 24th injury since joining the club and could potentially sit out the remainder of the year.
