Bayern Munich vs Sevilla 12/04/18
Bayern Munich have barely managed to beat a tough Sevilla side in Andalusia by two goals to one in the Champions League quarter-finals after coming back from a goal down, and they intend to secure their place in the semi-finals at the Allianz Arena. The Bavarians are experiencing another stunning season as they defended the Bundesliga title last weekend thanks to a 4-1 win over Augsburg on the road, and a positive result against Sevilla will see them in the Champions League semi-finals for the fifth time in six years. Los Rojiblancos, on the other hand, are hoping for a miracle in Germany, as they have no chance of reaching the most prestigious club competition in Europe through La Liga, but considering their performance against Celta last weekend, it seems highly unlikely that Vincenzo Montella’s team would even stand a chance against the rampant Bundesliga champions. Bayern are unbeaten at home this season, as they have eighteen wins in twenty matches at the Allianz Arena, while Sevilla have two consecutive losses on the road, but the visitors have demonstrated they can play against big teams by eliminating Manchester United in the previous round.
Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman won’t be available for the encounter due to injuries. As for Sevilla, Sébastien Corchia is the only player who won’t be at Montella’s disposal.
