Bournemouth vs Liverpool 18/12/2017
Since the 4-1 humiliation by Tottenham, Liverpool have gone on a fine run. They are now unbeaten in their last eight EPL matches (W5, D3), their longest run without a loss since November 2016.
But don’t it distract you from the fact that they have just scored one goal in the week gone by, a 1-1 draw against Merseyside rivals Everton and a drab goalless stalemate against West Brom. They had scored 12 goals in their first two December games prior to that.
Still, Mohamed Salah has had a storming season and he now needs one more strike to become the first Liverpool player to score 20 goals or more in all competitions in a season since Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge did so in 2013/14.
Bournemouth played courageously against Man Utd in midweek but eventually succumbed 1-0. They are now five games without a win.
Daniel Sturridge is a doubt for Sunday’s trip to the south coast with a hamstring complaint. Alberto Moreno will certainly miss the game with his ankle injury, joining Marko Grujic, Joel Matip and Nathaniel Clyne on the sidelines.
Bournemouth have no new injury concerns, with both Brad Smith (hip) and Tyrone Mings (back) still out.
