Bournemouth vs Manchester United 19/04/18
Although Manchester United will be playing the Champions League football next year, they still have had a disappointing season by their standards, as their city rivals, Manchester City, wrapped up the league title in front of their noses, and last weekend’s defeat to West Bromwich Albion at home only made things worse for Jose Mourinho’s side, who are now traveling to Bournemouth to face the team they defeated 1-0 last December at Old Trafford. The Cherries have already achieved their primary objective and secured another EPL season although their performance this campaign was nowhere near to those of some previous years. Eddie Howe’s side are going through a crisis considering they’ve only won one out of their previous eight Premier League matches, losing three times in the process. The Red Devils, on the other hand, have won two consecutive games away from home scoring six goals and conceding four. The outcome of this encounter won’t affect any team, but after a miserable 0-1 loss to WBA, Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways as soon as possible.
Tyrone Mings, Adam Smith, and Junior Stanislas are all struggling with injuries in the home squad and will have to skip the match, while Daley Blind, Phil Jones, and Sergio Romero won’t be playing for the visitors.
