Celtic vs Bayern Munich 01/11/2017
Scottish champions Celtic trail Bayern by three points and will miss out on a knockout ticket if they lose and leaders PSG avoid defeat to Anderlecht.
Likewise for Bayern, they will seal progress with a win coupled with a PSG draw or better. Both teams played few weeks ago, with the Bavarians easily running out 3-0 winners.
For Celtic, cracking the Bayern defence will be a strenuous task as the Germans have conceded just once in almost 500 minutes since Jupp Heynckes returned to take over the coaching reins. Celtic have also won just one of their last eight home matches in the group stage (D1 L6).
Bayern are without star striker Robert Lewandowski after the Pole picked up a hamstring strain in Saturday’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig. Thomas Muller is also out with a thigh problem.
Celtic rested their big-hitters in a lackluster 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock as Scott Sinclair, Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong played limited minutes. They will be without winger Patrick Roberts though.
