Crystal Palace vs Southampton 16/9/2017
It is the dawn of a new era at Crystal Palace as Roy Hodgson takes over the coaching reins from Frank De Boer. The latter lost his job after Palace became the first top-flight side in history to open a season with five defeats and zero goals scored. Hodgson will need to see his side score before the 78th minute against Southampton. Any later than that, they will break the EPL record for the longest time taken by a team to score a goal. That record is currently held by Newcastle (438 minutes) from the 2005/06 season. Christian Benteke will be eager not to let that happen. After all, he has netted five times in his last five EPL appearances against Southampton, including three in two for Palace.
