The Czech Republic and Brazil go head-to-head for a friendly meeting that takes place at the Sinobo Stadium in Prague.
The hosts have endured mixed fortune in the past 12 months, recording a partial success of five wins in their last ten outings (W5, L5). Borek Dockal’s men go into this encounter off the back of a disastrous 5-0 road triumph to England in the Euro 2020 qualifiers, which was the second time in their previous six games Czechs have allowed five goals per match. It was also their first encounter that has produced over 1.5 goals after three successive games that have ended with the same 1-0 scoreline (two in their favor and one against). Interestingly, all four of their previous home wins have seen them beating their rivals to nil, with both of their previous home losses saw them losing with the identical 2-1 scoreline.
On the other hand, a disappointing 1-1 draw with Panama has brought Brazil’s perfect record in the post-World Cup period to an end. The South American heavyweights have pulled off six straight triumphs after returning from Russia prior to last week’s stalemate. Moreover, all six of Brazil’s wins in that period have seen Tite’s men outplaying their rivals without conceding a goal. However, a lack of composure in the final third has influenced Brazil’s inefficiency that has seen them score one goal or less in four consecutive games. Interestingly, Seleção have played against three UEFA-based nations at the World Cup, securing just one victory (W1, D1, L1).
