Dortmund vs APOEL Nicosia 02/11/2017

Borussia Dortmund - APOEL
November 1, 2017 5:20 pm

A goalless draw in Cyprus did both sides no good, as the shared point means defeat for either side here in Germany will most likely put an end to their last-16 hopes.
Dortmund are starting to struggle in the league with two defeats in the past three weeks, and their recent European record is nothing to be proud of with just one win in the last eight outings. APOEL, the Cypriot champions, are winless in Germany too with one draw and seven losses.
Łukasz Piszczek (knee), Erik Durm (hip), Sebastian Rode (pubic bone) and Marco Reus (knee) are long-term absentees for Dortmund.
APOEL’s treatment room is also a packed one, and that has undone their title defence where they have won just three of their opening seven league matches. Head coach Giorgos Donis offered his resignation after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Ethnikos, but that wasn’t accepted by the board.
