Liverpool vs Bournemouth 15/04/18
Jurgen Klopp’s attack-heavy machine have stormed through the Etihad Stadium securing their spot in the Champions League semi-finals, and they are set to host Bournemouth at Anfield Stadium in a great atmosphere looking to maintain an impressive form. The Merseysiders have won five out of their previous six games at home in the Premier League, scoring seventeen goals in the process, with only Tottenham Hotspur managing to avoid defeat and walk away with one point. The Cherries, on the other hand, are going through a difficult time, as they’ve only won one of their last twelve matches on the road in all competitions, and it’s hard to imagine they’ll improve that record this weekend. The Reds are very close to cementing the Champions League promotion spot, and a potential victory against Bournemouth could extend the gap between them and Chelsea making things much more comfortable for Klopp’s team for the remainder of the season. However, Eddie Howe is determined to end his side’s three-game winless streak, and if they can demonstrate the same hunger and confidence they’ve shown against Chelsea, Liverpool could find themselves in trouble.
The home squad is decimated by injuries suffered by Adam Lallana, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, and Emre Can, while Tyrone Mings, Junior Stanislas, and Adam Smith won’t be playing for the visitors, as all are struggling with injuries.
