Liverpool vs Manchester United 14/10/2017
The international break is over, and fans will be treated to this big showdown at Anfield. However, Sadio Mane will sit out due to a hamstring injury, a hammer blow to the home team’s chances no doubt.
Liverpool could potentially find themselves off the pace by as many as 10 points should they lose this one. Man Utd will relish this trip as they have a six-match unbeaten streak in the EPL against the Reds.
A win here for Jose Mourinho’s men will see them smash the 20-point barrier, and which will also give the Red Devils their best ever points tally after the opening eight matches.
They will have to do it without midfield henchman Paul Pogba though. The Frenchman is out due to what Mourinho has described as a ‘long-term’ injury. Marouane Fellaini, who has enjoyed a career reboot at Old Trafford, is also set to miss out after damaging his knee whilst on international duty.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku is looking to become the first player to score eight goals in his first eight league games for United.
