Man City vs Liverpool 9/9/2017
It is another Klopp-Guardiola epic edition. Both managers have guided their teams to 7 points each, and a win for either side will see them top the table in this early lunchtime kickoff. Man City have a stellar home record against Liverpool with just one defeat in the eight previous meetings here at The Etihad. The odd defeat came in November 2015, which Liverpool easily won 4-1. Sergio Aguero has scored in all five of his league matches against the Reds, scoring once in each encounter. The Argentinian, though, will face an anxious wait on his inclusion in the starting XI. He was benched in City’s last win, a dramatic 2-1 victory at Bournemouth, which Raheem Sterling scored in the fifth minute of injury time. Liverpool will give new boy Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain some game time, but it is the full-throttle frontline of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah that will have the City backline scampering for cover. The trio has each got a goal in two of Liverpool’s three EPL matches so far.
