Napoli vs Juventus 02/12/2017
It’s Friday mania as Napoli will attempt to increase their lead over six-time current champions Juventus to seven points. It will be a defining moment in the Scudetto race should they broker through!
But they will take on a side that have found the net in 43 straight Serie A games, the 3-0 win over Crotone on Sunday equaling their own record set from February 2013 to March 2014.
Overall, this is also a showdown between the league’s best two attacking units. Juventus have 40 goals banked in, while Napoli are five goals behind. The last goalless draw between these two sides was back in February 2009, an Italian Cup tie.
Both teams are at full strength, but Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly set to miss this showdown due to a hand surgery. The striker, who infamously left for Juventus in the summer of 2016 for an Italian record fee of 90 million euros, scored on his return to Naples last season.
