PSG vs Bayern Munich 28/9/2017
Both juggernauts will cross swords for the first time since 2000, and the Parisians are winning it in the head-to-head, having won all three previous meetings at Parc des Princes. Both teams cantered to easy wins on Matchday 1. PSG demolished Scottish champions Celtic 5-0, while Bayern brushed Anderlecht aside 3-0.
For Bayer Munich head coach Carlo Ancelotti, it will mark an emotional return to PSG, who he coached few years back. The Italian maestro will be looking to in-form striker Robert Lewandowski for goals. The Pole has already got 11 goals in all competitions this season, which Bayern haven’t quite been firing on all cylinders. Last Friday’s 2-2 home draw with Wolfsburg marked the second time they have tripped up domestically this season. PSG were also held to a goalless draw at Montpellier, and this comes after the ‘penaltygate’ which Edinson Cavani and Neymar were squabbling over taking a penalty. They would need a resounding result here to calm things down.
