Seoul welcome Jeonbuk Motors to the Seoul World Cup Stadium, looking to bring a five-game losing streak in K League 1 home H2Hs to a halt.
None of Seoul’s opening four league fixtures has produced a draw (W2, L2), with the last three of those results (win/loss) yielding a narrow one-goal margin. Action in Seoul’s matches usually sparks into life after the halftime break, as six of their total nine league goals (scored/conceded) so far came in the second half of play. But, three of the hosts’ four competitive home games since the turn of 2020 have yielded the identical 1-0 scoreline (W2, L1), with the winner in the last two arriving beyond the hour mark. Bringing into the equation their home results from the final stretch of the last season, the ‘Seoul Dragons’ have now scored under 1.5 goals in six consecutive league home outings.
On the other hand, the visitors’ three-game winning run at the beginning of the season has been put to an end last time out, as they succumbed 1-0 to Gangwon away from home. Indeed, that defeat brought Jeonbuk’s 13-game unbeaten away league run, last season included (W8, D5). Yet, strong defensive performances during that streak have seen the ‘Warriors’ ship over 1.5 goals in three of those 13 games. Similar to Seoul, three of Jeonbuk’s four top-flight results (win/loss) have produced a single-goal margin, with the winner in two arriving in the final ten minutes of play.
