The Three Major Football Leagues In Far East Asia (Mid Term Report)

July 7, 2017 11:51 pm

The Chinese Super League, the K League Classic and the J. League, the three major football leagues in Far East Asia, have reached mid-term. No major surprise though that the reigning champions Guangzhou and Jeonbuk are right at the top. Kashima are also bossing the J. League, but there’s a chasing pack of five teams, all within striking distance of the Antlers. The CSL has rewarded fans with an average 2.73 goals, while the rate is slightly over in the K. League (2.65) and J. League (2.58). Home ground advantage is duly cashed in for the CSL and K. League, but not the same can be said for the J. League. 39.2% of the overall results there have gone the visiting side’s way. Only a mere 20.26% are played out to draws.
