West Ham vs Arsenal 14/12/2017
This will be West Ham’s 100th home London derby in the EPL. They have won 36 of the previous 99, the latest just last week, a 1-0 scalp of champions Chelsea.
It was David Moyes’ first win since he took over the reins last month. He will have to come up with a masterplan to negate Arsenal though. Against no side have the Gunners won more away Premier League matches than their 12 against the Hammers.
Not sure where Olivier Giroud would start, but the Frenchman will need to start on the bench if he fancies one more goal as a sub to break Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s record haul for one team in this competition. Both are currently at 17.
Mesut Ozil has scored in each of his last three PL matches against West Ham, while also providing an assist in the last two.
Shkodran Mustafi is set to return for the Gunners after suffering a thigh problem in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United. Meanwhile, Jose Fonte, Sam Byram and Cheikhou Kouyate won’t feature for the home side, who are in the hunt for back-to-back home wins for the first time this season.
