Meanwhile, Turkey reigned supreme during October’s international break, beating Croatia 1-0 on the road before thrashing Latvia 4-0 at home to secure automatic qualification for the upcoming tournament. Montella is still new to the job, though, as his only previous games in charge of the ‘Crescent-Stars’ came during the last international window.
