Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart

Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart are set to exchange tackles at the Deutsche Bank Park in an exciting Bundesliga match-up.

Last season’s fifth-place finish already looks like a distant memory as Eintracht Frankfurt take the field on the back of a three-game winless start to this Bundesliga campaign (D2, L1). Disappointing results, coupled with a poor scoring return of 1.00 goals netted per game, may have early alarm bells ringing. New boss Oliver Glasner opened his Deutsche Bank Park adventure with an underwhelming scoreless draw with Arminia Bielefeld. He will be looking to build upon his side’s impressive home form in 2020/21 as ‘Die Adler’ went unbeaten at this venue throughout the entire last season (W10, D7) alongside perennial champions Bayern Munich. Encouragingly, after losing consecutive Bundesliga H2Hs at home, the hosts have racked up a three-game undefeated streak against Stuttgart here (W2, D1), netting an average of 2.00 goals per match in the process.

As for Stuttgart, they’ve suffered back-to-back defeats by an aggregate score of 7-2 after beating promoted Greuther Furth 4-0 at home on the opening weekend. Action-packed first-half football has highlighted Stuttgart’s early Bundesliga matches, with two of their first three league outings in 2021/22 featuring 2+ goals before half-time. However, ‘Die Roten‘ have to address their horrendous away form, having lost four of their last five Bundesliga games on the road (W1), three of which by 2+ goals ‘to nil.’ With both last season’s H2Hs seeing both teams on the scoresheet, end-to-end action looks to be on the cards. Stuttgart’s all-out approach has seen none of their previous 13 Bundesliga fixtures end as a draw (W5, L8), which further enhances the prospect of an entertaining affair.
